Toronto's Underground PATH

A few weekends ago, when the temperature outside was -18C, Donna, my son and I went from Union Station to the Eaton Centre, to Second City then to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant, all without walking outside.  We did this through Toronto's PATH, a mostly underground pedestrian walkway network that connects Union/Go Station, TTC, stores, restaurants and offices.  There is now even an App for the PATH.

Things to do at the Toronto Islands in the Winter

I think of Toronto Island as a summer destination but Ward's Island ferry runs during the winter season.  All the islands are connected so you can bring your own cross-country skis, snowshoes or just go for a hike across the islands.
