Choosing a retirement home
Whether you are starting to plan for your own retirement or helping plan for your aging parent, here are some things to consider when choosing a retirement home. Some people start off in retirement homes but as their care needs increase, they may need to be moved into a long-term care facility. I have attached a tip sheet and an article that gives you a rough outline of costs. Keep in mind that private long-term care costs were not included in the article.

Haunted Town / After Dark Film Festival
My favourite part of Hallowe'en is seeing the little ones dressed up and coming around for candy. I can do without all the creepy stuff. But, if you are interested, they have converted a film set to an entire haunted town!! If creepy films is more to your liking, there is also an After Dark Film festival, showing horror, action and sci-fi movies
Art Toronto
This event runs from October 26th to 29th at the Metro Convention Centre. They will be showcasing over 100 galleries from across Canada and abroad. Even if you are not in the market to purchase any art, there is so much to see and there will be talks led by artists, curators and collectors.
