In this report, the CIO office is looking forward to 2024. Economists were convinced that a recession was imminent 12 months ago, the consensus now seems to be a soft landing is on the horizon. For markets, they want to keep a defensive positioning but also want to put cash to work. We also know that the Feds will start to lower rates this year, and the risk for 2024 is how fast to lower them when.
Financial advice from AI may be educational but not holistic
A personal financial educator tried asking ChatGPT to suggest a financial plan for a small Canadian family. Not surprising, the AI software came up with more than a dozen recommendations, however the advice lacked the specifics the family needed. AI is a great tool for financial literacy but at this time the software is not sophisticated enough for individual financial situations.

As our practice grows, we have decided that we need a full-time associate on our team. As Melissa splits her time with another advisor, she was unable to take on this role and sadly will be leaving our team. We want to thank her for all the great work she has done in helping Donna and I grow over the last 8 years. Places to see Holiday Lights around Toronto
During these dark months, it is no wonder that there are so many light displays. There are the ones like Casa Loma and Nathan Phillips that you can stroll through to enjoy. Burlington, Brampton and Markham also have free light displays. If you want other activities too, Canada's Wonderland has a light show along with live entertainment and activities for the kids.
Winter Roller Express at Union Station
I am not sure I am cool enough for this! At this time of year, I usually include a list of ice skating rinks but the weather doesn't seem cold enough. But indoor roller skating! What a great idea to enjoy skating during the winter months.
