Steve is an experienced wealth professional who has been executing strong financial planning and investment knowledge to advise clients since 2004. Having worked with entrepreneurs from across the country for the majority of his career, Steve has become an expert in understanding the needs of small business owners. This expertise includes providing tax efficient investment portfolios and implementing succession plans for a successful retirement.

Steve is excited to bring his passion for customized wealth planning and his drive to exceed clients’ needs and expectations to National Bank Financial. Steve utilizes strong relationship and analytical skills to identify client’s needs, solve their financial puzzles, and provide peace of mind to answer their question “am I going to be OK?”.

Steve has a diploma in Business Administration - Financial Planning from Conestoga College, where he graduated first in his class in 2004. Simultaneously during his studies at Conestoga College, he obtained his Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. In 2008, Steve earned his CFP designation, achieving the 3rd highest mark in Canada on the certification exam. Steve spent over 6 years volunteering with FP Canada on various committees and task forces, such as the Panel of Examiners for 12 exam cycles.

Steve grew up in the KW area and currently lives in Waterloo with his wife, two young daughters, and their golden retriever. Outside of work, when not playing with his kids or taxiing them around town to their various activities, Steve is a passionate cook. He also enjoys learning and reading when he can find a quiet moment to himself.
