On Saturday afternoon, the R.B. Jones Wealth Management Group volunteered for Diabetes Canada as street team members at the city market in downtown Edmonton. Some of the responsibilities we took on included greeting and welcoming those who visited our table, delivering educational material and engaging the public, and providing access to more information.

Ending diabetes is an important cause to us and we look forward to partnering with Diabetes Canada in the future

The second part of our Women in Wealth series was in partnership with NEI Investments. This event consisted of a presentation that focused on responsible investing and an introduction to the NEI Environmental Leaders Fund. Our speaker for this event was Wayne Myers from NEI, who presented on how to grow wealth in a responsible manner, and the potential for women in this aspect.

This seminar was held at the Sutton Place Hotel, where dinner was provided for all of our guests.

We held a client appreciation event consisting of a private movie screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at the North Cineplex Odeon. Current clients and their family members and friends were invited to this event.

The first event of our Women in Wealth series was in partnership with Fidelity Investments, who provided speaker Kathryn Black.

The topics she presented on were all pertaining to women which included:

• retirement
• investing
• wealth transfer
• costs and trends

The seminar was held in the beautiful Wedgwood Room at the Hotel MacDonald, where lunch was provided for all attendees.
