The mission of the center Aux Quatre Poches is to offer safe and stimulating stays to children over the age of 3 and adults in the south shore of Montreal region with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with or without a physical disability. The center offers family members a moment of rest, allowing them to recharge their batteries.

Founded in 1990 by a group of parents who decided to remedy the problem of respite by creating a resource adapted to a multi-handicapped clientele, the center has become an essential resource for its community and continues to improve the experience and the range of services offered.

The Marie-Vincent Foundation was established in 1975 to serve the growing needs of children already receiving services from the Marie-Vincent Centre founded ten years earlier by Marguerite Séguin-Desnoyers. The Centre offered social, psychiatric, educational and psychological services to children aged 5 to 12 experiencing significant socio-emotional problems. Over the years, given the needs and the lack of available resources, the Foundation extended its field of intervention to children who are victims of sexual assault.

Ultimately, the goal of the Marie-Vincent Foundation is to help build a world free of violence. To achieve this, it is currently involved in developing a protective community that will ensure the optimal development of all young people, including victims of sexual and physical violence and children who have sexual behavior problems.

The Foundation collaborates with mobilized and concerted partners to:

·         build capacity by preventing violence, training professionals and supporting organizations.

·          change the developmental trajectory of child and adolescent victims of sexual and physical violence and those who have sexual behavior problems by providing therapeutic and psychosocial services.

SOS violence conjugale is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help ensure the safety of victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) and that of their children throughout Quebec, by offering free, bilingual, anonymous and confidential referral services. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can provide direct access to information, support or shelter.

SOS violence conjugale was established in 1987 to serve as the doorway to all services and resources useful to victims of intimate partner violence. We have since received over 800 000 calls for help.It receives over 30,000 requests per year. In the last two years we have seen a sharp increase in calls. Nearly 80% of calls are from victims who are experiencing a situation of intimate partner violence, but we also receive calls from loved ones, police, doctors, therapists or other workers who are concerned about a victim of conjugal violence or her children.

A social organization, the Fondation de l'Ordre des dentistes du Québec has the mission to increase access to dental care for those in need by supporting preventive and curative projects as well as applied research.

The funds collected by the FODQ are used to support access to care programs through the three Faculties of dental medicine in Quebec, including the ACCÈS clinic at Laval University in Quebec, the DENTAVILLE social dentistry clinic of Hôpital Notre-Dame, their pro bono initiative Projet Bouche B and non-profit organizations such as Mission Bon Accueil through their JIM LUND Dental Clinic.

Due to a lack of financial means, many poor people in Montreal never go to the dentist. To help these people, the Jim Lund Clinic was established. It is the first permanent free dental care facility in Montreal. It is the result of a partnership between the Faculty of Dentistry of McGill University and the Welcome Hall Mission.

The Ordre des dentistes du Québec is one of the few professional orders to have set up a foundation and it is in this that we recognize a strong social commitment to those who struggle to access this care.

Fifteen years ago, Suzie Roy, Executive Director of the Fondation du Centre jeunesse de la Montérégie, her family and friends organized a fundraising activity that allowed families in financial difficulty to experience the magic of Christmas. Over the years, the activity has grown, many financial partners have joined the movement and the number of families helped has increased from 5 to 646. All these families receive groceries of their choice and personalized gifts for the children. This formula has remained intact despite the growth and will

Since 1997, CURE Foundation has been powering the fight against breast cancer by investing in programs for prevention and early detection, improving treatment and supporting patients and their families. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. To highlight this shocking statistic our new flower logo has eight pink petals, with one in a darker tone. Exemplified in our logo is our vision to eradicate breast cancer. Our focus is to one day lighten that single dark petal, so that no woman has to fear a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime. The flower, symbolizing femininity and the giving of life, also serves to honor all those we have lost to this devastating disease.
